A teaser trailer for Netflix's upcoming mob drama film The Irishman has been released with zero footage, and yet it didn't fail to excite fans of the crime films subgenre.

The teaser features a cryptic conversation while a single bullet drops over a black background with names of Director Martin Scorsese and those of the cast appearing. The names are what makes it very interesting, as the cast includes some of the biggest names in mobster films like The Godfather franchise, Robert De Niro and Al Pacino, put together with Joe Pesci and Harvey Keitel.

Watch the teaser trailer here:

The film's story is based on the bestselling book I Heard You Paint Houses by Charles Brandt. In the book, Frank "The Irishman" Sheeran confesses in killing 25 people for his friend Jimmy Hoffa and legendary crime boss Russel Bufalino.

Jimmy Hoffa's first words when he met Sheeran was said to be "I heard you paint houses," which meant killing people as the blood splatters on the walls and floors.

Frank Sheeran will be played by Robert De Niro, while Al Pacino takes the role of Jimmy Hoffa and Joe Pesci plays as Russel Bufalino. No release date has been announced, but a full trailer should be expected soon.
