WATCH: The World Forgets ‘The Beatles’ In The New Film ‘Yesterday’

When a worldwide phenomenon makes everyone forget about 'The Beatles,' Jack Malik, the sole person who remembers them, soon learns that things would not be the same as yesterday.

Instead of a biopic, the new comedy musical film Yesterday by director Danny Boyle relives the great hits of 'The Beatles' through Jack Malik (Himesh Patel), a young musician who finds out that one day, all the traces of the English rock band had disappeared and that only he can remember their music.

The trailer is pretty clear with the film's fun intriguing plot. After a worldwide power cut, the world suddenly forgets everything about 'The Beatles,' along with their songs, their members, and not a trace in history was left. But Jack, the young musician who was just about to give up singing yesterday, was exempted from this phenomenon and he soon finds himself singing their compositions and later taking the world by storm with their hits. Despite the great fame, Jack's conscience is conflicted knowing that the songs were not really his.

The trailer also teases Ed Sheeran as part of the roster of actors. Directed by Danny Boyle with the screenplay by Richard Curtis from a story of Jack Barth, the film also stars Lily James, Ana de Armas, Kate McKinnon, Lamorne Morris, Camille Chen, Alexander Arnold and many more.

Yesterday gets released in theaters on September 13, 2019.
