New Movies This Week: Alita: Battle Angel, Green Book and more!

Alita: Battle Angel

Directed by Robert Rodriguez, it is based on Yukito Kishiro's manga Gunnm. It follows a disembodied "core" who awakens with no memory in a post-apocalyptic world destroyed by a technological fall where she discovers the truth of who she is and her fight to change the world. The film stars Rosa Salazar, Christoph Waltz, Jennifer Connelly, Mahershala Ali, Ed Skrein, Jackie Earle Haley and Keean Johnson.

Green Book

Directed by Peter Farrelly, a working-class Italian-American bouncer becomes the driver of an African-American classical pianist on a tour of venues through the 1960s American South. It stars Viggo Mortensen, Mahershala Ali and Linda Cardellini.


Directed by Joel Ferrer, it follows Bert who is quick-witted but an emotional guy who falls in love with Elise who is a strong and independent woman. They separated to pursue their studies only to meet again when they grow up. The film stars Enchong Dee and Janine Gutierrez.

Hanggang Kailan?

Directed by Bona Fajardo, it follows the story of Kath and Donnie who are celebrating their 2nd year anniversary in Japan and decides to end their relationship when the trip ends. The film stars Xian Lim and Louise Delos Reyes.

The Knight of Shadows: Between Yin and Yang

Directed by Vash, a legendary demon hunter tracks down beasts that enter the human dimension, assisted by a lawman protégé and a motley group of friendly monsters. It stars Jackie Chan, Elane Zhong and Ethan Juan.


Written and directed by Mark Polish, the film centers on a CIA agent who is sent on a mission and ends up in a coma. The CIA wants to extract intel from his brain in a lethal way but his wife says no and decides to investigate. It stars  Dianna Agron, Andy Garcia and James Frain.
