And to make sure that you won't be missing out on anything from them this year, we're giving you a rundown of all the upcoming and highly-anticipated films set to release this 2019! 

1. Mary Poppins
Directed by: Rob Marshall
Premieres on: January 8

Mary Poppins Returns is the direct sequel to the 1964 film starring Julie Andrews, and will be centering on the titular character who returns decades after her first visit to help the grown-up Banks siblings through a difficult time in their lives. It stars Emily Blunt, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Ben Whishaw, Emily Mortimer, Julie Walters, and more. 

2. Captain Marvel 
Directed by: Anna Boden, Ryan Fleck
Premieres on: March 6

Set in the 1990s, Captain Marvel follows former US Air Force fighter pilot who later becomes one of the galaxy's mightiest heroes and joins an elite military team called Starforce. There, she finds herself in the middle of an intergalactic conflict between the Skrulls and the Krees. It stars Brie Larson, Samuel L. Jackson, Clark Gregg, Gemma Chan, Ben Mendelsohn, Lashana Lynch, Jude Law, and more.

3. Dumbo
Directed by: Tim Burton
Premieres on: March 26

Tim Burton's live-action remake on the classic tale centers on circus owner Max Medici who asks his former star named Holt Farrier and his children to care for a newborn elephant with oversized ears. Realizing that Dumbo can fly, the circus starts to make a comeback, and he gets recruited by a persuasive entrepreneur who runs Dreamland. There, Holt realizes that behind the Dreamland's shiny appearance is a place that's full of dark secrets. The film stars Colin Farrell, Michael Keaton, Danny DeVito, Eva Green, Finley Hobbins, and Nico Parker. 

4. Avengers: Endgame
Directed by: Anthony and Joe Russo
Premieres on: April 2019

Set after Thanos' "Snap" (now known as "The Decimation", Avengers: Endgame will focus on Tony Stark who still has to go back to Earth, as well as the remaining Avengers who must now figure out how to bring back their allies to fight Thanos in one final showdown. The film stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, and more. 

5. Aladdin
Directed by: Guy Ritchie
Premieres on: May 22

The 2019 film is the live-action adaptation of the 1992 film of the same name, which is also based on the Arabic folktale from One and One Thousand Nights. It centers on Aladdin whose wishes are granted after he frees a genie from a lamp, but he realizes that there's an evil person who has other plans for the lamp and for Princess Jasmine. It stars Mena Massoud, Will Smith, Naomi Scott, Billy Magnussen, Marwan Kenzari, and Nasim Pedrad. 

6. Toy Story 4
Directed by: Josh Cooley
Premieres on: June 19 

Toy Story 4 features Woody who has always been sure about his place and job in the world – to care for his kid. However, when Bonnie adds a toy named "Forky" to her room, he gets to be a part of a road trip that makes him realize how big the world can be for a toy like him. The film will be featuring the voices of Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Annie Potts, and more. 

7. The Lion King
Directed by: John Favreau
Premieres on: July 17 

The remake of The Lion King will be taking us back to the Pride Lands once again. The film centers on a royal cub named Simba who is exiled from their lands after his father is killed by his uncle, Mufasa. The film stars Donald Glover, Beyonce, Billy Eichner, Chiwetel Eljiofor, James Earl Jones, Seth Rogen, and more. 

8. Artemis Fowl
Directed by: Kenneth Branagh
Premieres on: August 7

Artemis Fowl is based on Eoin Colfer's book, and is about a 12-year old genius named Artemis Fowl who comes from a family of criminal masterminds. He finds himself battling with the cunning and the powerful race of fairies who could be the ones behind his father's disappearance. It stars Ferdia Shaw, Lara McDonnell, Tamara Smart, Nonzo Anozie, Josh Gad, and Judi Dench. 

9. Frozen 2
Directed by: Chris Buck, Jennifer Lee

Although no plot details have been revealed yet, but fans could already expect to see their favorite characters come back for the sequel. The original voice cast, which includes Idina Menzel, Kristen Bell, Jonathan Groff, and more will also be returning for Frozen 2

10. Star Wars: Episode IX
Directed by: J.J. Abrams
Premieres on: To be announced

Star Wars: Episode IX is the ninth and final installment to the Star Wars Skywalker saga. Like Frozen, no details regarding its plot have been revealed yet. However, fans of the franchise are already sure to see Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong'O, Domhnall Gleeson, and more who will be reprising their roles.
