Actor Jason Momoa, along with actress Amber Heard and director James Wan recently visited the Philippines for the very first time, and met with press and fans to promote the new action-adventure superhero film 'Aquaman' now open in cinemas.

Directed by James Wan, 'Aquaman' is based on the DC Comics character of the same name. It follows the origin story of Arthur Curry, after the all that has happened in the film Justice League. Arthur, the half-Atlantean heir to the underwater kingdom of Atlantis, must step forward to lead his people against his half-brother, Orm, who seeks to unite the seven underwater kingdoms against the surface world. The film stars Jason Momoa as the titular character and Amber Heard as Mera, a fierce warrior and Aquaman’s ally with hydrokinesis (power to control water), and also stars Willem Dafoe, Patrick Wilson, Dolph Lundgren, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, and Nicole Kidman.

Missed all the fun and thirsty for more Jason Momoa and Aquaman? Get into fan mode with all of our photos from the Fan Event and Red Carpet at the Music Hall of SM Mall of Asia:

The 6:45pm event gathered fans at Mall of Asia as early as the morning, wanting to get a closer view of all the 'Aquaman' stars and the director
People brought their comic books toys, action figures, Aquaman tridents, and everything they wanted to have autographed
Foreign press were also present to cover the epic fan event
Some of Manila's cosplayers were in full-on Aquaman outfits for the festivities
Hosts Joey Mead and Gino Quillamor talked to 'Aquaman' fans and interviewed the many talented artists who brought in their fan art to the event
An aerial silks performance by Mera cosplayers entertained the huge crowd just before Jason Momoa, Amber Heard, and James Wan graced the Blue Carpet
Amber Heard stepped on the Blue Carpet first, and the fans went crazy!
From selfies to autographs, she took time to stop for fans, and was amused to see herself on a bag of potato chips (which she also signed)
By the time Jason Momoa himself appeared, the decibel levels skyrocketed and the Music Hall rattled -- it's Aquaman in the flesh!
Suddenly everyone's cameras and phones and all the other things they wanted Momoa to sign were all up in the air

Then Momoa started getting the phones of the fans and taking the selfies himself -- the crowd went nuts
Fans fell in love with him all over again
Because it's impossible not to love that charm
We're not sure how many times he took selfies but we're pretty sure he left everybody swooning
James Wan also joins in on the selfie fun
Jason Momoa got to do an entire round of the Blue Carpet to get closer to all the fans before the Asian Premiere of 'Aquaman' on IMAX.
When it was time for all three of them to go onstage, host Joey Mead was going to be the envy of many...
Because Aquaman greeted her like an old friend...
...with a great big hug (we see that leg lift, girl)
Jason Momoa, Amber Heard, and James Wan go onstage to thank all the fans for coming and to watch Aquaman in the cinemas
...and all the fans are thankful that they finally get to see their favorite Dothraki in Manila.
Jason Momoa thanks the fans for all the love -- and shared how he rarely gets speechless but is now overwhelmed with the reception of Philippine fans
He also shares about how proud he is to part of a film that celebrates diversity -- his character being a superhero from the islands
Amber Heard is also proud to be included in the film where she portrays a character that is no damsel in distress, but a superhero on her own
Momoa, Heard, and Wan were gifted with an artwork by a Filipino DC artist as a souvenir of their visit to Manila

We've also got a few clips from the moshpit area of last night's Blue Carpet to see Jason Momoa up close with his fans (and a special apperance of his man-bun) in our Instagram post below.
