The Curse of La Llorona is a film set in 1973 Los Angeles, following a social worker and her two kids who must escape the wrath of La Llorona by working with a priest who practices mysticism to keep the creature from taking her children.
In Mexican folklore, La Llorona or "The Weeping Woman" is the ghost of a woman, who's crying while looking for her lost children by the river. Legend has it that anyone who hears her cry or is near her experiences misfortune and even death.
Directed by James Wan, the film stars Linda Cardellini, Raymond Cruz, Patricia Velasquez, Marisol Ramirez, Sean Patrick Thomas, and more.
The film is set to premiere in April 2019. For more information, you may check out the film's official website.
