New Movies This Week: Ajin: The Immortals, Tomb Raider and more!

Ajin: The Immortals 

Written and illustrated by Gamon Sakurai, it is a Japanese manga series adapted into an anime film trilogy. A teenager killed in a car accident, but returns from the dead as immortal Ajin and is forced to choose sides when authorities go after him and other Ajin. It stars Mamoru Miyano and Takeru Satoh.


 

Tomb Raider 

Directed by Roar Uthaug, it is primarily based on the 2013 video game of the same name with some elements of its sequel by Crystal Dynamics and will be a reboot of the Tomb Raider film series. It tells the first journey of Lara Croft where she goes to her father's last known destination hoping to solve the mystery of his disappearance. It stars Alicia Vikander, Dominic West, Walton Goggins, Daniel Wu and Kristin Scott Thomas.


 

Ang Pambansang Third Wheel 

Directed by Ivan Payawal, it is a romantic comedy that tells the story of Trina who has lived her whole life as a third wheel. She then meets the man who passes her standards and believes that this man will finally make her a third wheel no more. As they get to know each other, she finds out she's actually dating a single dad with an 8-year-old boy and he actually has a good relationship with the mother. It stars Yassi Pressman and Sam Milby.


 

Selfie From Hell 

Directed by Erdal Ceylan, it follows Julia who is a vlogger from Germany visiting a cousin in the US. Upon her arrival, Julia falls ill and strange things start taking place in their home. It stars Alyson Walker, Tony Giroux and Meelah Adams. 


 

Devil's Gate 

Directed Clay Staub, it is set in the small town of Devil's Gate in North Dakota where they examine the disappearance of a local woman and her son. It stars Amanda Schull, Milo Ventimiglia, Shawn Ashmore, Bridget Regan and Jonathan Frakes.
