If you've enjoyed Camp Sawi, its writer and director Irene Villamor has a new movie for all the hopeless romantics out there. Just in time For Valentine's Day, Meet Me In St. Gallen is set to be released on February 7.
Watch the trailer below:
It tells the story of Jesse (Carlo Aquino) and Celeste (Bela Padilla) who meets at an unexpected time in their lives at a coffee shop. They then realize their names are the same as the characters in the popular break-up romantic comedy, "Celeste and Jesse Forever."
They start getting to know each other and develops a connection from a night of talking but Celeste decides they should part ways as to not ruin the perfect night they had. A few years later, they meet again in the same coffee shop.
Meet Me In St. Gallen is set in three different time frames where the characters meet three years after their last encounter, proving that a great connection deserves a better ending.
In a press conference, Carlo Aquino says that he hopes the movie will remind moviegoers that despite the fact that technology has taken over us, there's still something to be said about human interaction.
Meet Me In St. Gallen is produced by Spring Films, the same producers of "Kita Kita," the Philippines' highest-grossing local indie movie to date.
