The buzz is keeping Respeto alive in theaters, as it struggles to claim space among Hollywood movies. But many people have been very vocal about their love for the movie, including many celebs and personalities.

Gary V. shared that he was holding back the tears, “this movie is going to stay with me for a long time.” Ateneo de Manila University president Fr. Jett Villarin urges everyone to watch tweets, “Stories of depth and imagination. And a powerful film. Be moved.”
Youth advocate and singer-songwriter Aiza Seguerra was impressed at the lyricism of the film, “(At) ang galing na napagsama mo yung social relevance at yung entertainment factor.”
National Artist Bien Lumbera who contributed some verses to the film, was moved by what he saw and thoroughly enjoyed the fast pace of the movie. Playwright and Martial Law survivor Boni Ilagan also appreciated the power of the film and said that all Filipinos must see this film.
Many personalities have become champions of the film, and doing their share to spread the word about the movie. Social activist Mae Paner has posted recently, “I feel personally responsible for its success.” Human rights advocate Leni Velasco has been posting about the film frequently and describes it as “brilliant and relevant.”
