The First Venice Film Festival in Manila has already started yesterday, and you still have time to catch all the films they will be screening until the 31st of July!
Among the 11 films showing during these day, three are Filipino films which had gained recognition internationally: Brillante Mendoza’s Thy Womb, Francis Xavier Pasion’s Jay, and Lav Diaz’ Ang Babaeng Humayo which was awarded with the Golden Lion at last year’s Venice Film Festival.
They will be playing alongside the following films: Orecchie (Ears), Tommaso, Liberami (Free Me), Questi Giorni (These Days), Piuma, L’Estate Addoso (Worn Summer), Process Alla Citta (Trial to the City), and Profumo Di Donna (Scent of a Woman).
