PMPC releases nominees for 2016 Star Awards for Movies

The Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC) starts its award season this year by honoring the best movies, performers, players and stakeholders in the movie industry for 2015 both for mainstream and indie movies through the 32nd PMPC Star Awards for Movies.

The Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC) starts its award season this year by honoring the best movies, performers, players and stakeholders in the movie industry for 2015 both for mainstream and indie movies through the 32nd PMPC Star Awards for Movies.

This year’s recipient of the Nora Aunor Ulirang Artista Lifetime Achievement Award is no other than  Ms. Amalia Fuentes while Director Mel Chionglo will receive the Ulirang Alagad ng Pelikula sa Likod ng Kamera Lifetime Achievement Award.

Vying for this year’s Darling of the Press Award are KC Concepcion, Sheryl Cruz, Anne Curtis, Kaye Dacer, Dan Fernandez, Vice Ganda, and Alden Richards.

Another special award at stake this year is the Movie Love Team of the Year. The nominees are: Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla (Crazy Beautiful You), Kim Chiu and Xian Lim (All You Need Is Pag-Ibig), Nadine Lustre and James Reid (Para Sa Hopeless Romantic), Maine Mendoza and Alden Richards (My Bebe Love, #KiligPaMore), and Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil (Everyday I Love You).         

The glittering tribute will be held on March 6, 2016, starting 7:00pm, at Newport Performing Arts Theatre, Resorts World Manila, Pasay City. The television special by Airtime Marketing Philippines under the direction of Mr. Bert de Leon will be shown ABS-CBN Sunday’s Best on March 13, 2016.
