Haunting in Connecticut 2: The Ghost of Georgia is based on a true story that was featured in The Haunting, a weekly series on the Discovery Channel. The series featured several alleged paranormal encounters, including traditional hauntings, demonic activity, ghost attacks, possessions, and cryptic visions. This film present the complete version of several accounts of paranormal experiences through cinematic re-enactments as told by eyewitnesses, investigators and the tenants themselves, their accounts follow a frequently recurring pattern, in which victims of hauntings begin noticing peculiar incidents that gradually become more frequent and bizarre.

The film is set in a small town in Georgia at the new home of the Wyrick family. Initially, Lisa (Abigail Spencer), Andy (Chad Michael Murray) and their angelic four-year-old daughter Heidi (Emily Alyn Lind) are thrilled by its rambling yards and the house's history as a part of the Underground Railroad that helped runaway slaves make their way to freedom up north. But things change when little Heidi begins to collect a strange group of imaginary friends, including a hooded figure she insists is trouble.

The Haunting in Connecticut 2 : Ghost of Georgia opens in cinemas nationwide on May 8.
