Metro Manila is now already spoilt for choice when it comes to fitness studios and group workouts — everyone can now choose an exercise that fits right into their schedule, fitness level, and preference, and there are even apps such as Classpass that consolidate all of the metro's exciting fitness activities for your easy browsing and booking. Very soon, another player is entering the fitness world of Manila, and this time around, it promises fitness addicts, athletes, and those seeking something different with their workouts.

Bare's infamous BLACK workout is a calorie-torching 55-minute workout where you can burn as much as 1,000 calories with its signature killer combination of strength work, HIIT (high intensity interval training), and running on their high-tech Skillrun treadmills that focus on a runner's speed and acceleration like a pro. Get all of that, in a slick room that's pretty much like a nightclub with its blue lights and neon details, a DJ booth, pulsating beats, and a high-energy instructor that gets you to get moving.

Bare is a fitness center hailing from Dubai and is opening its first location in the Phiippines very soon, at 8 Forbestown Road building in BGC. It is home to the BLACK workout, famous for its 1,000 calorie burn by combining weights, HIIT, and running that promises a continuous fat burn even after the class has ended (it boosts your metabolism, too).

It's a little similar with circuit training and CrossFit in terms of intensity and pace, yet also remarkably different with the combinations of activities, most especially its killer finisher, the Black signature sprint on the treadmill. If you're like myself and hate running, you'll learn to embrace the challenge fast and find yourself sprinting for the duration of an entire song real quick, as other people cheer you on while waiting for their turn.

Aside from #trainBLACK, Bare Manila also offers a LAB workout, the classes done at the first level of the studio. Also located at the first level of Bare is The Neighborhood, a small coffee shop where you can grab-and-go coffee based beverages, protein shakes, and carrot bowls for pre and post workout fuel.

While Bare offers another calorie-torching party for fitness enthusiasts, part of its ethos is also focusing in nutrition to achieve your best fitness performance. Members can also expect nutrition support, consultation, and meal planning along with a training plan when they sign up for a Bare program once the studio opens. After all, you cannot out-train a bad diet!
