Women nowadays seem more inclined to doll up and pamper themselves. As "beautifying" becomes more common, however, the demand is usually unmet as salons are always packed with nail service appointments that are made days before. Walk-ins are rarely serviced and that can get a little irritating. The nail specialists are too few that they can only accommodate only a handful of customers. Waiting for one's turn can be very time-consuming.
Who knew that an alternative exists? Women need not leave their humble abode to wait in long lines anymore. Nails At Home provides its clients the same pampering services--or even more--right in the comforts of one's own home, office or hotel room.
I came across Nails At Home through my feature on Dashing Diva. The comment section had a series of threads on it and suggested that ladies should try their services. I found the idea to be very interesting as I am a self-confessed impatient client when it comes to salon services. I don't like waiting 30-45 minutes for my turn, especially when I'm in a hurry or when I forget to set an appointment. What if I had a last-minute date that night? I would not want my nails to look ugly right? And most of the time, after 7 PM, they do not accommodate walk-ins because their nail technicians get off by 8 PM. I’m left with no choice but to postpone having my nails done and hide my fingers all night long so that my date won’t notice how unsightly they are.
Interestingly, the proprietors, Patricia Avecilla and Lynette Sy Chu, identify themselves very well with their target market. They founded this enterprise as they too enjoy the pleasures of being pampered, whether it’s through having their nails done or a spa. Being one of the pioneers in the concept of home service, Nails At Home has indeed rid women like me the hassles of going to a salon every week.
Nails At Home services are uniquely indulging and very relaxing. What adds to the relaxed feeling is that you can have it in the comforts of your own home. Their manicure service is at Php 130 while pedicure is at Php 150 with an additional Php 20 for polish. You may also want to try their signature Foot Spa for only Php 250 and their Tension Release Services that range from Php 200 to Php300.
For those who are planning a unique celebration for special occasions like birthdays, bridal showers and baby showers, they have a special Spa Party package for groups of 5 and above. They also offer kiddie nail and hair salon for your child’s next birthday party.
Their Spa Party Package costs Php 800 per nail technician and Php 1000 per massage therapist. An additional Php 250 per hour will be charged thereafter (please note that a fraction of an hour will be charged as an hour). Their rate includes four (4) hours of unlimited services, equipment, spa products, nail polish and massage oil.
Nails At Home currently services parts of Quezon City (New Manila, Katipunan, Ayala Heights), San Juan, Mandaluyong, Pasig, Ortigas, Makati and Fort Bonifacio. They cater to various types of clients -- from A-list individuals to celebrities, stay at home or working moms, even teenagers, kids, dads and young adults. Their clients are mostly from exclusive villages (i.e. Dasmarinas, Forbes Park, etc.) and condominiums (all Ayala condominiums, Pacific Plaza, Essensa, etc.) If you look at their price list closely, even those from classes B and Upper C can afford it.
With enterprises like Nails At Home, the snaking queues at salons are no longer a valid excuse to skip on pampering yourself. They are bringing the salon and spa to your very own domicile. Just let them do all the work and your only job is to relax!
