If you grew up in Manila in the 80s and 90s, then you'd remember Scott Burger's buy one take one burger stalls that populated nearby train stations. Now, Scott is back with more burgers plus wings at their slick new home in Uptown Mall, BGC. Here's your first look!
Scott Burger is now open, located at the cinema level of Uptown Mall, and brings nostalgic details of their earlier days into the design of the establishment — from LRT train details to booth seats inside a 'train.' Behind the brand is Lloyd Lee and his wife Shamcey Supsup-Lee, who is also the couple behind Filipino restaurant Pedro 'n Coi — which also shares the same nostalgic vibe of the new Scott Burger branch with its interiors dedicated to Filipino pop culture.
What made Scott Burger so popular back in the day is their sulit factor — they were one of the very first (if not the pioneer in) offering the metro buy one, take one burgers that will always fit the everyday budget of students and office folk alike. Now, their return comes with their classic burger — Original Scott Burger (P65/Solo, P95/Double or Two Patties) — recalibrating the burger patty with Wagyu beef, cooked with miso butter and served with the signature Scott sauce.
Scott has added more variants of burgers with their Premium Burgers (P75/Solo, P105/Double or Two Patties) line. Five flavors are now available: Good Morning Burger with an egg salad topping, China Town Burger with apple hoisin sauce and pork floss, BBQ Bang Burger with kimchi slaw, Cheesy Lover Burger topped with two cheeses, and TLC Burger with the classic tomato, lettuce, and cheese.
While the buy one take one offer isn't available at Scott, they now have a Buy 6 Take 6 offering for solo (single patty) burgers and double (two patties) burgers (Original Scott Burger – P420/one dozen solo, P600/one dozen double; and Premium Burgers – P480/one dozen solo, P660/one dozen double). We highly suggest you go for the double patty for a meatier patty-to-bun ratio, and it'll still end up affordable! The burgers also come in boxes that perfectly fit six burgers like a box of doughnuts — easy to bring home or to bring inside with you in the cinema.
Aside from the burgers, Scott is now selling chicken wings so tasty and crunchy that they might soon just be the star of the show at this burger joint! The Billy James Hot Wings (P195/6pcs, P375/12pcs) also come in assorted flavors like Original Rub, Tangy Lemon, and Honey Soy. You can pair your wings and burgers with Carolyn Sexy Chips (P120) potato chips that you can order in sour cream or BBQ, and with assorted dipping sauces.
Scott Burger is now on soft opening at the level 3 (Cinema Level) of Uptown Place Mall, 9th Ave. corner 36th St., Uptown Bonifacio, BGC.
