Panda Express’ Honey Walnut Shrimp Will Be Available in the Philippines Starting March 15!

Panda ExpressĀ®, the largest American Chinese dining concept in the world, is adding a highly anticipated, award-winning dish to its Philippine menuā€”the Honey Walnut Shrimp. Starting March 15, guests can enjoy this classic American Chinese entrĆ©e at participating Pandaā„¢ locations.Ā

Made with large and crispy tempura-battered shrimp, wok-tossed in a honey sauce and topped with glazed walnuts, Honey Walnut Shrimp is a Canton dish inspired by Western influence, featuring candied walnutsā€”a popular Chinese street food. Traditionally, the dish features whole walnuts but Panda Express added a unique spin by serving crushed walnuts for a crunchier texture in every bite.Ā  This dish was first introduced on Panda Expressā€™ US menu in 2010 and received the prestigious MenuMasters Award for Best New Menu Item of the Year.Ā

An irresistible combo of sweet and crispy, Honey Walnut Shrimp joins other Panda Express signature dishes including the famous Original Orange Chickenā„¢, Broccoli Beef, and Eggplant Tofu, which is suited for people on a plant-based diet.

Panda Express was founded in 1983 by husband-and-wife team Andrew and Peggy Cherng, who are still currently Co-CEOs of this beloved global restaurant brand. Known for creating a wide variety of industry-first recipes, Panda Express has defined the category of authentic American Chinese Cuisine worldwide. Each dish at Panda Express is thoughtfully crafted with quality ingredients and inspired by global flavors and Chinese culinary principles. Panda Expressā€™ culinary team wok-fires and grills all dishes in small batches throughout the day and hand-cuts vegetables to prepare each guestā€™s favorite entrĆ©es with fresh and quality ingredients day-in and day-out.

The Jollibee Group entered a 50/50 joint venture with Panda Restaurant Group (PRG) to form JBPX Foods, Inc., bringing the iconic US restaurant brand to the Philippines. They opened the first Philippine store at the SM Megamall, Mandaluyong in 2019 and opened its second store located at SM North Edsa in Quezon City this year.
