Let’s take a quick breather on indulgent desserts and fancy holiday spreads for this edition of Eat Of The Week. While we’re probably already feasting on and finalizing a Christmas menu of decadent dishes and specials meals, we’re going down-home comfort food with this recent discovery: Salted Egg Chicken Nuggets!

While salted egg in Asian traditional dishes are very common, snacktime has been extra delicious by adding this ingredient on anything already addicting: potato chips, croissants, steamed buns, and even our local delicacy, the bibingka. The umami salty meets sweet flavors of salted egg gives regular dishes a kick that can transform food from ho-hum to addicting. Doña Mila’s Lasagna, a brand that obvioulsy specializes in lasagna, dives into the salted egg craze and it’s worth every bite!
Salted Egg Chicken Nuggets
Their ultra snackable chicken nuggets are pop in your mouth addicting, and it’s simply your childhood favorite getting an extra notch in the nummy department. The coating of salted egg sauce in the crispy chicken nuggets gives it a pop of flavor that begs for a starchy chaser (fries or rice, anyone?). Additionally, since it’s already flavorful in every bite, you don’t really have to dip it in any kind of sauce.
It’s available in two for-sharing sizes: 21 pieces and 42 pieces. This makes it for perfect pass-around, kid-friendly snacks before the main event!
