FIRST LOOK: Bigg’s Diner, Bicol’s Biggest Food Chain, Opens First Branch in Manila

Here's an exclusive first look on what you can expect at their first-ever branch in Metro Manila.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: You've never been to Bicol if you've never been to Bigg's.

With over fifteen stores spread across the provinces of Camarines Sur, Albay and Batangas, Bigg's Diner has easily become Bicol's most iconic brand in the local food scene. The fast-casual restaurant first opened its doors in the 80s and 36 years later, it has finally decided to work its way a bit up north with its much-awaited store opening in Metro Manila at SM Fairview.

Starting November 8, the diner's fans can get their hands on its best-seller crispy fried chicken which has a unique tangy flavor. Other than the fried chicken, Bigg's Diner is also known for its burgers, classic rice meals, spaghetti, and their signature Rock n Roll Iced Tea.

Similar to its other stores, the branch in SM Fairview sports the same vintage industrial look which everyone is familiar with. It is extremely spacious with a seating capacity of 108 guests, has cozy diner booth seats, a vibrant mural with all their best-sellers, and the retro interior will instantly make you feel at home.

Are you curious about what's in store for you? Here's an exclusive first look on what you can expect at their first-ever branch in Metro Manila:

What better way to start off your visit at Bigg's Diner than ordering the best-sellers on one plate? The Bigg Deal (P227) has its classic spaghetti, famous fried chicken, and pork barbecue. If you prefer something that packs some heat, try the Cajun Chicken (P129) — it's the same classic fried chicken dusted with their special cajun spice mix and served with a side of coleslaw.

Bigg's Diner is not only known for their fried chicken but also their burgers. It's what started their business, after all. They have seven kinds of burgers to choose from — a notable one is the Tower Burger which has fried egg, caramelized onion, bacon, spam, hashbrown, cheese, and two beef patties. If you want something that's less massive, order the Bigg's Supreme Burger (P208) which has crisp bacon, onions, tomato, lettuce, cheese and a beef patty, drizzled with their signature herbed mayo.

For sizzling platter options, there's the Tenderloin Tips (P189) which is the ultimate best-seller and a personal favorite. It's a serving of tender sliced beef doused with their housemade gravy and served with a side of mixed vegetables. Upgrade your meal with java rice and mashed potato for only P69.

There's also the fork-tender Baby Back Ribs (P319) served with mixed vegetables, java rice and a side of sweet barbecue sauce, and the garlicky Tuna Salpicao (P205) for a lighter option.

Cap off your meal with their signature shakes — a refreshing Mango Graham (P129) which has layers of jelly, mango shake, crushed graham, a scoop of mango ice cream and slices of ripe mango. They're also serving their classic Cookies and Cream (P109) shake.
