If there’s one thing we’ve been constantly hearing at the start of quarantine, it’s to pivot. With everyone being stuck at home and having more time on hand, most if not all just got busy in the kitchen. Chances are, you have a family or friend who started a home-based food business during the lockdown. And even your favorite celebrities aren’t exemptions to this.

Hazelberry started as a cafe where the actress displays her cakes, pastries, pasta, rice meals but shifted to an online business during the quarantine. Her ultimate best-seller is the Oreo Cheesecake which her friends in the industry couldn’t stop raving about. She now offers different variants of cheesecake and also offers cupcakes and cookies.

Neri Naig’s Neri’s Gourmet Tuyo

What started as a small business quickly grew with just P3,000 as her capital. She uses pure olive oil and only the freshest ingredients to achieve the taste everyone grew to love. Her gourmet tuyo is available in major supermarkets and at her own shop. She also now has a number of distributors around the Philippines and even overseas.

Angrydobo which is a combination of two words, angry and adobo, is a food venture by couple Judy Ann Santos and Ryan Agoncillo. They offer different kinds of Angry bowls ā€” short ribs, tofu, classic pork belly, or chicken thighs, and comes with a choice of kangkong, gising gising or laing.
