Rome’s Century-Old Premium Coffee Roaster Danesi Caffé is Now in Manila

Filipino company Pocofino has just become one of its distributors!

Danesi Caffé, the hundred year old premium coffee roaster from Rome is now available in Metro Manila. Pocofino, a Filipino company that aims to bring Italian food to the Philippines, has become a distributor of Danesi Caffé.

“We want to bring authentic Italian coffee to the Filipino consumer in the comfort of their own home.” Pocofino CEO Peter M. Angliongto said. “As more people become interested in coffee, we want to offer traditional Italian coffee to create a more dynamic coffee industry in Manila.”

Danesi Caffé was established by Alfredo Danesi, one of the pioneers of the traditional Italian espresso culture dating back to 1905. For over a century, the brand has maintained its consistent quality through decades of experience and innovation. The fourth generation of the Danesi family now runs the company. They continue to earn international accreditations for coffee quality, while improving their technology and production process to create positive social and environmental impact.

Danesi Caffé offers a variety of blends such as the smooth Gold Quality, the earthy Emerald, and the strong Doppio. While promoting Italian espresso culture is important to the company, its coffee is designed to be enjoyed in any preferred brewing method. The coffee comes in various forms: whole beans, ground coffee, filter, and Nespresso compatible capsules.

“At this time we are currently focused on encouraging people to discover this 100 year old coffee,” said Angliongto. “In the future, we want to explore marrying Filipino and Italian cultures through ready to drink coffee beverages to create a unique experience.”
