Showing up to a buffet feast without a plan of attack is a terrible idea. Here's your eat-all-you-can guide (including what you must not miss!) when you indulge in Raffles Makati's Mirèio!
Start Strong with Appetizers:
Walking through the restaurant, the first thing you'll notice is the floor-to-ceiling windows and how bright the whole floor is. The next thing that will woo you in is the grazing spread that is lined with a selection of cheese, charcuterie, homemade terrines and antipasti. There's also the Tartare Station that serves fresh seafood a la minute. You may choose from the chopped vegetables and sauces and they will prepare it for you.
Must Not Miss:
Another live station you shouldn't miss is the pasta station where they also make a fresh off the pan Truffle Risotto with Porcini mushrooms, truffles and parmesan cheese. Another one that stood out is the egg station — and it's not the usual sunny side up and omelets. At Mireio, they take it up a notch with made upon order Salmon Benedicte and soft boiled egg with foie gras foam. Make your Sunday brunch even more luxurious with some seared foie gras!
On to the stars of the whole buffet spread — a bountiful selection of fresh crustaceans like lobster, tiger prawns, crabs, clams, and mussels. You can have them as they are but can also ask the chefs to prepare it whatever you like: baked with cheese, sautéed with butter and garlic, or you can ask them for recommendations. Let's not forget the spread of more savory meats like the live carving station highlighting a slab of tender Wagyu beef, roasted Porchetta and lamb!
Cap off the lunch with an exquisite variety of desserts such as Mirèio’s classic lavender brûlée, dark chocolate Black Emperor cake, pistachio and raspberry religieuse, fruity calamansi meringue éclair, and a wide array of macarons, among others.
