La Petit Fromagerie x Gino's Brick Oven Pizza Trufflata

Eat Of The Week: The Trufflata, a Burrata Stuffed with Truffle Cream Cheese

For its fourth year anniversary, La Petite Fromagerie partners with Gino's Brick Oven Pizza for a new cheesy indulgence: the Trufflata in a jar!

Gino’s Brick Oven Pizza recently garnered a spot in a famous “best pizzas in the world” list by travel guide website Big 7 Travel. While I wholeheartedly agree on the pizza restaurant making it to the list, another sneaky-good masterpiece Gino’s has been producing is their locally-made cheeses. Their Burrata is fresh and creamy, and a perfect way to rev up your appetite before your main course. How else can you make an already awesome cheese transform into something exciting and new? La Petite Fromagerie will show you.

Trufflata in a Jar

La Petite Fromagerie, your premier source for all things cheesy, has tapped Gino’s Brick Oven Pizza for a collaboration that will make turophiles (or cheese connoisseurs) drool with delight. For their fourth year anniversary, La Petit Fromagerie collaborates with Gino’s to create the Trufflata. It’s a Burrata stuffed with La Petit Fromagerie’s best selling signature spread — Truffle Cream Cheese Spread!

A Cheesy Collab: La Petite Fromagerie x Gino’s Brick Oven Pizza

The Trufflata is packed in a jar, so you can order it for delivery and enjoy at home. It’s always made fresh and in limited batches, so it’s best to pre-order your Trufflata online. The cheeses are made on the day of delivery, so you’re sure to get it fresh! Keep your jar chilled in the refrigerator and consume within two days, as it has zero preservatives.

I thought I would be able to enjoy my Trufflata in two days (my gameplan was to eat half of it first then the leftover the following day). I was wrong — you’ll absolutely wipe this out in one sitting! You get the soft and creamy burrata of Gino’s, and its inside is filled with thick truffle cream cheese spread. I am an instant fan of this cheesy truffle creation as the spread itself uses real truffle. Yup, none of the artificial truffle flavoring nor fake truffle oil. Additionally, the truffle itself lends a great aroma, without overpowering on the palate. It’s rich and creamy yet well balanced.

When asked for serving and pairing suggestions La Petite Fromagerie’s Karla Reyes likes to keep it simple, classic, and easy. The product itself is already so flavorful, so there’s no need to go crazy on adding tons of other flavors. Gino’s Brick Oven Pizza owner Jutes Templo agrees, saying that less is more so you can appreciate the flavors better. I enjoyed this cheese with ripe tomatoes (the acid cuts in the richness of the cheese), toasted sourdough, and a salad. Crisp, clean, and fresh!
