Merchant Spotlight: The Soft & Charming Cheese Rolls from ‘VMV Cakes’

The Story

Vanessa Vergara or Van started her small cake and cupcake business back in 2011, catering to events such as birthdays, christenings, and weddings. But when the pandemic hit, and social gatherings have been prohibited due to health risks, orders for Van’s cakes started to decline.

While surfing the internet, Vanessa stumbled upon a cheese roll recipe. As a baker by trade, she tried making some to snack on, while sharing some with a neighbor and a friend. From thereon inquiries started to come in and that’s when she decided to give it a go as a business. Hence, VMV Cakes‘ cheesiest cheese rolls were born.

VMV Cakes is proud to say that they have some of the softest and cheesiest cheese rolls in the metro, guaranteed fresh when it’s delivered to your door. It is moist, buttery, and has the right cheesiness to satiate your palate. They’ve also added a Pork Floss Buns to their menu, offering a savory take on your pastry. Their products are available every Saturdays and Sundays. For interested customers, they can pre-order via VMV Cakes on Instagram and Facebook. They offer cashless transactions, with payments available through BDO and Gcash. They are located at Del Monte, West Avenue, Quezon City and pick-up/delivery can be arranged via Grab, Lalamove or Mr. Speedy.
