Lampara Neo-Filipino Bistro is now open in Makati, just a hop and skip away from cocktail bar OTO. Serving modern Filipino food, Lampara is open for dinner until late night for drinks from Monday to Saturday, and is quickly becoming the easy answer to the question, "Where can we have a good dinner in Poblacion?"
The restaurant is located at the second floor of what once was a residential apartment in 5883 Enriquez Street, and when you step inside, you'll be pretty surprised and pleased that the place is bigger than expected, and that it is gorgeously interiored with warm lighting and accent pieces. Lampara's interiors are spruced up by Space Encounters, and also reflect the style and mood of the food and drink the restaurant serves.
Their opening menu is straightforward and lean, consisting of small plates (appetizers) and big plates (main course good enough to share with your date), three kinds of dessert, and a selection of classic cocktails and their own signature neo-Filipino cocktails.
Along with the attractive food and setting comes a very friendly and attentive service and in the kitchen, a team of young cooks eager to make their mark and to fill you with nothing but deliciousness. Perhaps you may find familiar faces when you have a peek inside their kitchen — some of these talents have previously worked in the open kitchen of Hey Handsome, which has closed its doors for good last December.
