Like many of us, the pandemic inflicted adverse effects on Denise Mallabo’s career as a freelance writer and as a Managing Partner to Happy Consultants Manila. Thus, she used her love for cooking (and eating!) to begin a business– Den-den’s Adobo Flakes.
Not only is this venture a means to earn money amid the pandemic, but it was also Denise’s way to keep herself productive during these extraordinary times. Aside from the preparation of her product, Denise also tries to hone her creativity and marketing skills in selling her Adobo Flakes.
Having a mother that was born and raised in Negros Occidental, Denise grew up eating delicious Ilonggo dishes, including a different type of adobo. Unlike the usual soy sauce-based dish, their adobo is yellowish in color because of the annatto added into the mix.
Den-den’s Adobo Flakes are juicy, crispy, and quick to prepare. You can simply heat it in the microwave for your instant ulam with no preservatives. Alongside this dish, Denise is also offering Crabby Patties–crab cakes made from real crab meat. Check out some of her products below:

To order, you can send them a message on Facebook or Instagram. Payments can be made through BPI, BDO, and GCash. Deliveries within Metro Manila are done via Grab Express or Lalamove; while orders within Laguna are done through Angkas PasaBUY. Fees to be shouldered by the customer.
