Mmm, donuts. Doughnut, or donut–however you wish to spell it–is a sweet treat of dough that is fried, most commonly shaped into rings or plump discs, and its ‘holes’ also serve as bite-sized donut treats. Filled, glazed, topped, sprinkled — it can come in all sorts of flavors, and other shapes like bars and twists. Whatever form it takes, sinking your teeth into a donut in one’s favorite flavor is both comforting and nostalgic.

This donut cafe was born in Indonesia but has amassed its biggest fanbase in the Philippines — it has the most branches in our country compared to the other Asian outlets. Their donuts (P42/pc, P252/6pcs, P380/dozen, P595/2 dozen) still cause long lines during peak hours, and if you’re truly a fan, you’ve most likely inhaled boxes of the most famous donut flavor, smothered with almonds and white chocolate.

This Philippine brand first took Manila by Storm in 2003 when it opened its first branchin BGC. Their donut’s profile is known to be distinctly light and soft, each bite like an edible hug (perhaps even sweeter).
