A small corner of BGC now houses a 'community eatery' for fried chicken sandwich lovers where you can kick back with a cold drink and a sandwich that comes in three heat levels to match your palate's preference of spice.
The latest offering from Tasteless Restaurant Group (of food concepts Hole In The Wall, Wrong Ramen, Hanamaruken Ramen, and Le Petit Souffle) is FowlBread, and in this new sandwich shop, food is straightforward: it's all about serving the comfort of fried chicken sandwich in a signature style to make the sandwich uniquely their own.
A fried Chicken Sandwich (P215) at FowlBread has the following components: toasted buns, a fried chicken cutlet, a chicken cracker made with deep fried chicken skin, toppings of pickles and radish, and Russian dressing. The sandwich also comes in three types of spice level: Safe, Spicy, and Chemical. The Chicken Sandwich can be ordered with Salted Fries (P265) or with Garlic Fries (P295) on the side.
While fried chicken sandwich is the main star of the sandwich shop, it also has a supporting cast of savories: Potstickers (P190/6pcs), Garlic Egg Noodle (P170), and thick-cut Salted Fries (P90) and Garlic Fries (P125).
FowlBread has a good drink menu for the thirsty, if one's parched for something alcoholic or non-alcoholic. There's a Froxen Pineapple Yakult Cocktail (P260) and a non-alcoholic Strawberry Hibiscus Cooler (P180), as well as a lineup of local craft beer, local iced teas, cold brew, ginger ale, and sodas and chocolate milk.
