The hotel that towers over the city also offers exceptional food through their premier dining outlets.

Marco Polo Ortigas Manila is best known as the Philippines’ “First Sky Hotel” taking its guests up to 45 floors above the bustling Ortigas area. But while one would quickly think of business visits or relaxing staycations when it comes to Marco Polo Ortigas Manila, what some might not realize is that the luxurious hotel also houses premier dining outlets that also offer the awe-inspiring view of the Ortigas skyline, and these posh culinary spaces are open to everyone, not just those staying in the hotel. Below are the culinary outlets you can now visit at the Marco Polo Ortigas Manila!

The Cozy Café Pronto

On the first floor of the hotel is their most accessible dining outlet, the Café Pronto. This in-house café is a casual and chic spot where one can enjoy a cup of coffee or tea paired with the shop’s sweet and savory selection of sandwiches, breads, croissants, cakes, cookies, and more.

Get your fix fresh and fast at the Café Pronto from 7 AM to 7 PM on weekdays, and 7:30 AM to 6:30 PM on weekends and during public holidays.

A Bountiful Buffet at Cucina

Located on the hotel’s 24th floor, Cucina is a spacious buffet restaurant offering a free flow of international and local dishes. Their buffet selection may not the biggest in the city, but Marco Polo Ortigas Manila takes pride in the quality of its well-curated spreads that aren’t overwhelming to guests.

Start light by visiting their salad station, enjoy some maki and sushi from their Japanese section, and check out their seafood station’s rich selection of blue crabs, prawns, and mussels. Their Chinese section also offers hearty noodle soups and some delicious dim sum which is their highlight for the month, with more dim sum choices available every Friday and Saturday.

Head over to their carvery counter and you can enjoy their mouthwatering US Prime Rib or a tempting Lechon that comes with a crave-worthy crunchy skin. They also have a sumptuous Paella that’s freshly cooked on the pan, a pasta section where you can pick the ingredients for the chefs to cook, homey Filipino foods, and a Thai food station with dishes that really burst with flavors. End your meal on a sweet note with their selection of fruits and delectable desserts.

Cucina’s breakfast buffet (P1,500 net per person) is open daily from 6:30 to 10:30 AM, while their lunch buffet (P2,280 net per person) operates every Thursday to Sunday, from 12 noon to 2:30 PM. Their dinner buffet (P2,550 net per person) is open every Thursday to Saturday, from 6 PM to 10 PM. Note that prices may change during the holidays and Cucina’s menus constantly change to use the freshest seasonal ingredients. The Contemporary Hub of Connect Lounge

Across Cucina and the hotel’s main lobby is the Connect Lounge, a nice lounge area that brings together a business center and social space. Connect Lounge also offers an assortment of light snacks and drinks which one can indulge in while enjoying the stunning view of the Ortigas skyline from the hotel’s 24th floor. The contemporary hub is open daily from 11 AM to 9 PM.

A Splendid Fare at Lung Hin

On the 44th floor, visitors will find Marco Polo’s award-winning Lung Hin restaurant, which serves modern and authentic Cantonese fare. The luxurious resto greets guests with its expansive and elegant main dining area with its large windows also giving diners a view of the city skyline. They also have private rooms that are perfect for more intimate gatherings.

The dishes being served at Lung Hin are just as exceptional as the place. Indulge in their selection of dim sum such as the classy Steamed Shrimp Dim Sum topped with gold leaf; Steamed Shrimp with Chinese Cabbage dumplings; and Deep-Fried Shrimp Dumplings with Mayonnaise.

Have your pick at their mouthwatering Hong Kong barbecue options such as the Crispy Roasted Suckling Pig, Roasted Peking Duck, and their signature Roasted Barbecue Pork. You can also have a hearty helping of their signature Fried Rice with Seafood and Scallops, Pan-Fried Crispy Egg Noodles with Prawn Balls and Minced Pork, and their Fried Angus Beef Hofan.

Good Times with a View at Vu’s Sky Bar & Lounge

Finally, the sky’s the limit for anyone seeking a good sip at Vu’s. The first-of-its-kind sky bar and lounge offers a 180-degree unobstructed view of Metro Manila, and serves sumptuous samplers alongside their signature cocktails and spirits. There are also al fresco areas to bring guests closer to the city night sky. Every Friday and Saturday, bands also perform live giving more life to the place.

Unwind and revel up in the sky every Wednesday to Thursday from 5 PM to 1 AM, and Friday to Saturday from 5 PM to 2 AM.
