Whether you enjoy a classic hamburger with the usual tomato, lettuce and onion or a more complex one with toppings you can't even imagine would work on burgers, there's surely one or maybe everything on this list that would make you run to the nearest burger joint in the neighborhood. Here are twelve lip-smacking burgers in Metro Manila you need to try (if you haven't yet):

Showcasing 1/3 pounder Angus beef burgers and six sandwiches you can sink your teeth into, beef patties are proudly nose-to-tail, using Australian and US beef choice cuts of brisket, rump and wagyu that are marinated in their seasoning mix. Each patty is perfectly chargrilled and served with an in-house secret sauce. The Mighty Beast (P275) has a perfectly chargrilled Angus beef patty, griddle maple bacon, aged cheddar, spicy beer mustard sauce, lettuce, tomato and dill pickle. Want to add more flavor? They also have a sauce counter for sauces like The Raging Bull Barbecue, You're So Damn Hot, Lone Steer Brisket, El Mayo Classico and offer a variety of ketchup and hot sauce.
Four cuts of meats are used to create their patties and goes through a pretty long process before it's ready for the griddle. Every burger is worth the wait and its price like the French Flair (P390) which would surely fill you up. It has gruyere cheese, dijon mustard, bacon, mushroom and french fried onions for that crunch when you bite into it. Can you keep a secret? They have an off-menu item which has caramelized onions, cheddar cheese, three kinds of mustard and ketchup and is steamed. Ask the server for it and thank us later!

When you see their burgers, you'll think it's too plain. But at The Beef, they're all about being simple with their patty, lettuce and tomato. To prove how straightforward they are, they only have three items on the menu: hamburger (P295/a la carte; P370/with fries), cheeseburger (P325/a la carte; P395/with fries) and fries (P140), all of which are served with a side of ketchup and an herbed aioli. Have their burgers cooked medium or medium rare and sink your teeth into this beef goodness that will surely make you go back for more.

If you ask people where to get burgers, they will instantly suggest you go to Sweet Ecstasy; and we totally get why. One bite will surely bring you to a feeling of great happiness! Go all out and order The Double (P265) which has all the works and two patties. If you want to pass up on the carbs, you can swap the buns for a lettuce wrap for only P20. Don't forget to try their unique milkshakes made from real ice cream! They're perfect with the burgers.

Sure, Pink's is known for its hotdogs since it opened in 1939 but their burgers are a standout as well. They have three burgers available on the menu: Barbecue Bacon Cheeseburger (P330), Chili Cheeseburger (P380) and the classic Cheeseburger (P280) which has a 1/4 pound all beef patty, American cheese, burger sauce, lettuce, onion and tomato. For an additional P140, you can add another patty if you want more protein in your sandwich.
Foie gras on a burger? Why not! A definite game-changer on Pound's menu is this Pound Foie Gras Burger. For P700, you get the same house ground beef patty they have for their burgers, slices of tomato, iceberg lettuce, caramelized onion, mustard relish, T.E. sauce, a 50-gram seared foie gras and foie gras mousse smeared on top of the patty. You will never look at burgers the same way again after taking a bite off this one-of-a-kind masterpiece.
This doesn't look like your usual burger joint but they serve a mean one using 100% USDA beef. Sink your teeth into the Grind Burger (P395) which has juicy beef patty, all the works, American cheese and a secret sauce tucked into a pillowy soft brioche buns fresh from the oven. Additional patty at only P190.

Its name comes from the eight different cuts of beef in custom-blended patties that are freshly grounded, hand-pressed and seared to order. Choose between The House Blend or The Grass Fed blend patties for any of your burgers. If youre a cheese lover, you'll love the Four Cheese 2.0 (P265/1/4lb; P320/1/3lb) which has a Parmesan-crusted Mozzarella, sharp yellow cheddar, Monterey Jack, their sauce no. 3, garlic aioli and fried basil, adding the perfect touch to an oh-so-cheesy sandwich. Don't forget to order their onion rings or a side of skinny fries!

Being in business since 1999, it is one of Manila's long-standing burger joints that have been long serving pure beef burgers. A visit won't be complete without getting their 18-year-old Brothers Pounder (P310) which is a stack of two pure beef patties, tomato, lettuce, cheese and a slather of ketchup and mayonnaise.

Some of their burgers may sound and look over the top but it works, so why not? They have eighteen creative burgers on the menu but the most notable one is Call The Nurse (P295) which is made of 1/3 pound US Angus beef, spiced mustard aioli, shredded lettuce, B&B cheese sauce, a block of seared mac & cheese, red pepper flakes and honey sriracha bacon to top it all off. Feeling more adventurous? There's an even more insane version of it called Call The ER which has two blocks of mac & cheese and two burger patties.
Known for their handcrafted Canadian beef patties and buns that are made fresh daily, it wouldn't be right without trying the specialty of the restaurant which is the Pub Original (P345). It has a juicy 170g burger patty slathered with their original sauce, caramelized onions and sharp cheddar cheese. It is definitely a simple burger but packed with flavor in every bite!

It won't be hard to find this restaurant along Jupiter Street since they have a huge sign that says "Bacon & Burgers This Way" pointing you to the entrance of where you can get their glorious sandwiches. At Lazy Bastard, burgers are 100% charcoal-seared groundchuck sandwiched between a soft, buttery and pillowy potato bun. Sure, the classic ones are great but you can't-miss the Umami Burger (P320) which is topped with butter on the grill, a slice of gruyere, caramelized onions and mushrooms.
