2021 is coming to an end, the pandemic restrictions are easing up, and the most festive season is upon us. With this, we’re bringing back our special series where we round up your favorite food staple in your Noche Buena spread. Ready to dig in?
On this list, we give you a rundown of places where you can get Bibingka in Metro Manila. But this is not going to be your ordinary list of bibingka since we already did that last year. This year, we’re taking it up a notch and listing down desserts inspired by the very popular Christmas snack that instantly brings in Holiday cheer. Below, we list down places where you can get this holiday must-have in a unique way.
Triple Bibingcake by Astoria Plaza
What a beauty this bibingcake looks! It is a combination of Astoria’s Bibingka Traditional, Ube, and Dulce de Leche that’s overloaded with salted eggs, ube halaya, and leche flan bits. And just when you thought it’s already overflowing with toppings, they add more with grated cheese, macapuno, and desiccated coconut. It is priced at P1,100.

Bibingka Ice Cream Cake by Sebastian’s Ice Cream
Sebastian’s Ice Cream has leveled up this year with their 5-layered Bibingka Ice Cream Cake. It has a housemade bibingka bottom later with salted egg chunks and grated cheese that’s been brushed with butter. The next layer is a lush queso de bola ice cream, a layer of salted egg yolk ice cream, and another layer of queso de bola ice cream. Finally, it is sealed with their bibingka and topped with salted egg slices, grated cheese, and brushed with more butter. It comes with grated niyog which you sprinkle on top of each slice. You’ll definitely get an explosion of flavors with every forkful! It is priced at P165/slice and P1,750 for the whole cake.
