Aguirre Fried Chicken: Fried With Pride from BF Homes
Leave it to Chef Kel Zaguirre to whip up a different take on Filipino food favorites to make it extra lip-smacking. From Locavore’s Sizzling Sinigang, he now cooks up his own take on fried chicken to give it a fun and funky appeal. Aguirre Fried Chicken‘s kitchen is located in BF Homes, Parañaque, and the chef wanted to give his own spin on ‘southern fried chicken.’ The chef shares he was inspired by the Korean market-style fried chicken and mashed this up with some of our own local food culture favorites when it comes to chicken, such as Max’s and KFC. The result? A whole fried chicken in a box (P750/Box, P420/Half) served with their own blend of banana ketchup, white pickles, garlic spread, and dinner rolls.

You can order it as The Aguirre Hot Box (signature spicy whole fried chicken) or The Aguirre Special (non-spicy). The Hot Box is an explosion of flavors and textures, every component lending its own zing and zap to every bite. Spicy and tender fried chicken meets sweet banana ketchup, chased by refreshingly sweet and tart crunchy pickles, and finished off with a bite of soft bread slathered with garlic spread. It’s definitely a flavor party you’ll easily get addicted to.
The Everyday x Auro Chocolate: The Big Bang
If there’s anything we definitely appreciate now that we order in food and have all meals at home, it’s beautiful vessels and food presentation. Aesthetics are appreciated as much as deliciousness, and in the new collaboration between everyday essentials brand The Everyday and tree-to-bar chocolate brand Auro Chocolate, we are going on an intergalactic adventure with our chocolate experience!
Starting Sunday, September 12, you can order your own ‘The Big Bang’ set which includes a beautiful galaxy-themed Chocolate Bomb by Auro Chocolate, paired with Everyday’s Mug XL, their extra-large matte porcelain mugs that come with a saucer. These mugs are absolutely pretty and are available in four different colors. It’s a colorful experience to drop the Auro chocolate bomb in your mug and watch your hot milk swirl around with the glittery colors of the chocolate. The set makes a perfect gift for all the chocolate lovers in your life!
