FIRST LOOK: Japan’s MOS Burger Launches Two-Day Pop-Up Event Ahead of First Branch!

Start up your 2020 with MOS’ iconic burgers from Japan!

One of Japan’s most sought out burger restaurants, MOS Burger, is finally here in Manila!

With the mantra of making people happy through food, Japan’s MOS Burger does not only serve delicious burgers, they also assure their consumers healthy food. This year, Filipinos will finally have a taste of MOS’ premium offers as they are opening their first pop-up store in Manila, making way for the opening of their branches here in the city.

An acronym for Mountain, Ocean, and Sun, the Japanese hamburger restaurant was first opened by founder Satoshi Sakurada at Narimasu, Tokyo in 1972. Rapidly growing into a nationwide franchise, they then ventured overseas in 1991. The rest of the world welcomed the brand warmly, with it having opened around 300 branches outside Japan.

Now open at the 2nd floor of Robinsons Galleria just in front of the mall's ADB entrance, the pop-up store will only be open for two days, January 15 and 16, as a teaser to the first official branch opening at the same area this February 26. In this pop-up, customers can order the two bestsellers from MOS’ standard menu, namely the Signature MOS Cheeseburger and the Yakiniku Rice Burger.

The Signature MOS Cheeseburger (P149) is their iconic burger fix made more tempting by the meat sauce on top of its patty, cheese, lettuce, and frozen tomato slice. While the patty itself already presents a distinct savoury flavor, the sauce definitely ups the experience with its added texture and burst of tomato sourness mingling with the rich sapor of beef and pork.

Meanwhile, the Yakiniku Rice Burger (P169) is easily recognizable because of its buns made from rice. In between these buns are thin slices of marinated beef and fresh lettuce. Being the rice-loving race that we are, we can expect that this burger will be a quick favorite among MOS' Filipino customers!

The pop-up store opens every 12NN, and customers can line up as early as 10AM. The products will be served in three batches, from 12NN to 1PM; 1:30PM to 2:30PM; and 3PM to 4PM. Be early because a total of only 300 burgers will be sold each day, where one customer can order a maximum of two burgers each.

To those who will miss the opportunity of getting their first dibs on these burgers, cheer up because their first official branch is set to open this February 26, launching the brand's plans of opening eight branches here in Manila this year.
