Michelin-starred ‘Yamazato’ Now Serving Fine Dining Japanese at Hotel Okura Manila

Resorts World Manila is adding another brand in its hotel portfolio, and included in this soon-to-open Japanese luxury hotel is Yamazato, which was awarded a Michelin star in its Amsterdam branch.

Resorts World Manila is adding another renowned brand in its portfolio with Hotel Okura Manila (set to open within the year), and included in this Japanese luxury hotel is Yamazato, a fine dining Japanese restaurant that was awarded a Michelin star in its Amsterdam branch in 2002. Yamazato's Philippine branch is the newest location, and the Japanese restaurant is also enjoyed outside of Japan in destinations around the world, which includes Shanghai, Macau, Bangkok, and Taipei.

Yamazato Manila started its operations in December of 2019, even before the hotel opens its doors, and guests can now enjoy fine Japanese dining that celebrates traditional gastronomy – it currently offers a sushi menu, teppan menu, a la carte, and the eight-course Kaiseki-ryōri dinner (P6,888 per person), artfully presenting the freshest ingredients in a tasting menu. Yamazato highlights seasonal ingredients, maximizing the primetime of the different produce, meats, and seafood.

The new Japanese fine dining restaurant has a total of 82 seats

Private dining rooms are also available, which seats up to 18 people

It is highly recommended to avail of a seasonal bento lunch, as it is a delicious introduction to the restaurant's offerings, letting you taste a little of everything in one meal. Yamazato's bento menu changes every two months, and guests are also in for an visual treat and dining experience with their dinnerware, that also changes through the seasons to reflect what the Japanese believe is the best serveware that compliments the seasonal ingredients and specific cooking techniques.
