There's a new ramen mania in town: the Menya Kokoro mazesoba!
The new food trend in Japan will now be served at the Uptown Mall in BGC, Manila this July 12, and it's not just any mazesoba, it is the number one in Tokyo!
Menya Kokoro is a mazesoba shop which started in Tokyo, Japan in 2013 by Chef Takuma Ishikawa. Just a year later, it has already been awarded Tokyo's Number 1 Mazesoba, and in the span of six years, the shop has already expanded to other countries including Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, Canada, and now in the Philippines; the first of its kind in Manila.
Literally translated as "mixed noodles", mazesoba is a variant of ramen that instead of the broth, takes its flavors from its rich sauces, variety of toppings, and other seasonings.
The Menya Kokoro branch here in Manila serves up to six kinds of Mazesoba: the Tokyo Mazesoba (P350), Spicy Mazesoba (P370), Vegan Mazesoba (P380), Zenbu Mazesoba (P470), Cheese Mazesoba (P430), and the Curry Mazesoba (P430). All are oozing with delectable flavors that each bowl are served with complimentary Japanese rice, which is recommended to mix-in with the remaining sauces after you finish your noodles.
Aside from these nummy bowls, they also serve side dishes like edamame, gyoza, and takoyaki. For dessert, there's the Matcha and Black Sesame Ice Cream.
Menya Kokoro is located at the 3rd floor of the Uptown Mall, 9th Ave. corner 36th St., Uptown Bonifacio, The Fort, Taguig. The store will be open from 10AM to 10PM on Sundays to Thursdays and 10AM to 11PM on Fridays and Saturdays.
