A new tambayan is now open in Makati for your evenings of eating Filipino comfort food, pulutan, and more.
Helmed by Chef Luigi Muhlach, LUMU Beerhouse & Filipino Kitchen is a new restaurant that offers food and drink at a place you can kick back with friends after a long day. Think hearty Filipino chibog in a casual atmosphere for both feasting and drinking.
As Filipino meals go, expect a lot of protein-forward mains and bar bites, such as beef, pork, and seafood. To start, you can try their signature flavored sausages — sausages in fun flavors like sisig, kansi, bicol express, chicken & pork adobo, and dinuguan. There are also sizzling dishes like LUMU Crispy Sisig (P225), Sizzling Chicken Dinakdakan (P199), and Sizzling Wagyu a la Pobre (P575). Meats on a stick include Pork, Tocino, and Chicken BBQ (P95/2 sticks). Best yet, barkadas could get sampler platters for sausages (LUMU A-Bangers Sampler – P499) and barbecue (LUMU BBQ Sampler Grande – P340) to try a little bit of everything.
However, at LUMU they also showcase a Kambingan menu — something quite different in the Greenbelt area — so customers can try goat dishes. Depending on how local your palate is, the kambingan menu of LUMU would either be straight up comfort food for you or something quite exotic. The restaurant currently offers ten goat dishes, including LUMU Papaitan, Adobong Kaming Ribs, Ala Eh! Gotong Batangas, LUMU Sinampalukang Kambing, and Kilawin. You can even go hardcore kambingan with their Kambing Sampler (P449) which is a trio of goat dishes (papaitan, goto, and kilawin).
