Most people head up north of Manila to spend weekends, vacation leaves, and holidays. Travelers love Pampanga because of the rich gastronomic experience it offers; Pangasinan and La Union are hotspots for their beaches and laidback vibes; Baguio is a go-to because of its chilly weather; while Ilocos has its heritage sites plus the gorgeous sand dunes and windmills.
But did you know that there are actually unique and interesting spots worth the visit in Tarlac, too? For a dose of art and history, you may check out Capas National Shrine, Ninoy Aquino Monument, The Aquino Center Museum, and Bamban Museum of History. And if you’re up for some adventure, you may hike Mt. Pinatubo via Capas trail or go to Kart City!
In addition to all that, a new foodie spot just opened in Capas, Tarlac last October! Named after the initials of owners (Philip Jeynes, Arnel Nucum, and Stuart Anderson), PAS Food Yard Evolution is the first food park in Capas.
