De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde Celebrates Christmas Early with 5 Kinds of Ensaymada at Andrew Café

posted on

While ensaymada is a year-round pastry we enjoy during coffee breaks or paired with some hot chocolate, it's even more delicious during the holidays. The buttery golden treats are definitely Christmastime staples as giveaways and yummy gifts, and now with homebakers and bakeries getting extra creative in the kitchen, we enjoy ensaymasda in many different flavors and forms.

Joining in the Ensaymada craze in time for the Christmas season is Andrew Café, the signature food establishment of De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde Taft Campus. The coffee shop is named after the late Brother Andrew Gonzales who was a known gourmand and was also formerly a Secretary of the Department of Education. At Andrew Café, their resident Pastry Chef Timothy Robert Gonzales has created the Ensaymada Collection, featuring five variants.

You can now order the ensaymadas by box in the following flavors: salted egg, quezo de bola, ube, monggo, and dulce de leche. The flavor comes as a delectable filling of the pastry. The ensaymada is being sold at P650 per box and comes in two sizes: 16 mini pieces per box, and 9 classic size pieces per box.

Go get your ensaymada fix and order them in time for all the Christmas feasting by visiting Andrew Café located at the Ground Floor of Miguel Febres Cordero building, De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde Taft Campus, corner of Estrada and Leon Guinto Streets, Malate, Manila. Call 230-5100 local 1888 for orders. The cafe is open Mondays to Saturdays from 8am to 6pm. Like Andrew Café on Facebook (/dlscsbandrewcafe) and follow on Instagram (@theandrewcafe).
