The South District is the newest food hall in Madison Galeries, Alabang Hills

There's lechon taco at this the food hall that the South has been waiting for!

Quality over quantity is what this food hall in Alabang Hills is all about.

With just seven stalls, The South District would be a sure go-to destination for those who are seeking for a gastronomic adventure that doesn't skimp on quality. Unlike the food parks that have sprawled throughout the metro, the newest food hall in the South has been carefully chosen with unique and familiar favorites.

Offering a modern designed space, the dining hall has an industrial vibe with a cozy mix of tables and chairs. It will surely be a great hangout spot for friends and family while sampling on the various eats available. From a unique Fil-Mex spread to chicken served with interesting dips, you'll certainly find something that will satisfy your appetite.

Bronx Fried Chicken

Nothing can ever go wrong with chicken, especially when it has been fried to perfection. Inspired by the streets of Bronx, there are only two kinds of flavors you can choose from: Notorious which is their original blend and the Brewsky which is beer-battered. Dip these tender chicken fillets in any of the original dips they've created gravy, taco cheese, sriracha ketchup, adobo and barbecue. There are also sides like hoops (onion rings), dem fries (french fries) and bomberz (chicken skin).

Chef T

Meat lovers, unite! Who would have thought that premium carvings would find its way to a food hall? These sumptuous offering from Chef T are great on its own but made even better with the sides for a more filling meal. We tried the Roast Beef on its launch and I can see why it's already a crowd favorite. A serving of it is bursting with all kinds of herbs and spices and its meat is tender and still has a pink hue to it.

Dos Bandidos

From an Aligue Shrimp and Lechon to a Crispy Adobo Flakes and Chorizo taco, you'll instantly know that Chef Luigi Muhlach isn't kidding with his Filipino and Mexican fusion stall. These flavors which are actually addicting are also available in Burrito and Quesadilla form, perfect if you need to fill up. It's unfortunate we didn't to try it but an instant hit among the guests is The Black Bandit Quesadilla which has bulalo steak, pepper jack cheese and drizzled with black truffle bone marrow gravy. I'm definitely going back to try it!
