Peruse the new menu and find out that apart from your well-loved bestsellers, these other hearty dishes are ready for the roll-out:

Watami Salad and Rolls

Then they have the Angel Roll, a shrimp sushi roll generously topped with Kani strips sprinkled with black sesame seeds for that extra flavor. Pop this maki in your mouth and you’ll know why it’s called the way it is—each mouthful is heavenly bliss!

Watami Skewers

Skewers are Japanese delicacies that are classic choices for those who love slabs of grilled fish and meat. Bite into the fresh and buttery Salmon Belly Skewer and tender Beef Wagyu Skewer. Include the savory Tamagoyaki, also known as Japanese Rolled Omelette, in your must-try list. It is best eaten as it is or as a side dish to your favorite bento meal. Watami takes these Tamagoyaki one step up by offering Homemade Rolled Omelette with Mentai & Cheese.

Watami Rice Bowl and Cutlet on Stone Pot

But we aren’t in the main meal yet; so Watami suggests that you come famished to truly enjoy more of their rice bowl dishes. Topping the savory selection is the new Special Curry Udon with Cutlet on Stone Pot. Watami blends its famous fried cutlet with a thick brown demi-glace.  There are also rice box favorites such as Beef Sukiyaki (a sukiyaki hot pot served with Japanese rice) and Skewer Rice Box (four Watami skewers on a bed of piping hot Japanese rice).

No trip to Japan is complete without sake. In fact, an essential part of the Japanese culture is emptying your glass of sake so that your host will be obliged to refill it after a heartwarming meal. Watami recently launched 12 different kinds of sake to go with your sushi rolls, fresh sashimis, and skewers. From Ozeki One Cup (also known as Japan’s most popular ‘cup sake’), to Ozeki Nama Chozo Shu (that has mellow aroma and moderate sweetness providing a refreshing aftertaste). There’s the Plum Wine Nakano Umeshu, said to be one of the most delicious liquors in the world because of its calming effect, can go well with your favorite meal.

So if you’re looking for somewhere to treat your family at, unwind with co-workers or simply give in to your cravings for  Japanese meal over  sake,  visit Watami Japanese Casual Restaurant (Shangri-La mall and SM Mall of Asia)  Watami Grill & Sushi Bar (Greenbelt 2 and Uptown Mall BGC).
