8 Must-Try KBBQ Places in Manila

We’ve listed down 8 KBBQ places all over the metro where you could bring out your inner Kim Bok Joo!

Korean barbecues, or KBBQs, have recently been the rave from almost everyone in the metro – from those who are so into K-dramas they realized they got to try what their favorite characters are eating, to those who just really want a good place where they could enjoy different kinds of grilled meat while hanging out with their friends.

Whatever you are from the two kinds of KBBQ lover, you would still agree when we say that it’s difficult – if not impossible – to say no to a good barbecue. Just imagine the sound of meat sizzling as it cooks on the grill. Go on, just do it.

Hungry now? Worry not, because we’ve listed down 8 KBBQ places all over the metro where you could bring out your inner Kim Bok Joo!

1. Lee Hak Unlimited BBQ Restaurant

A post shared by Mj Pabustan (@jeraldmjp) on

This KBBQ place in Kapitolyo, Pasig is famous for its – as their name suggests – unlimited barbecue, and at an affordable price, at that. Although you can order a plate of their marinated and unmarinated pork and beef, it would be more filling to avail of their unlimited KBBQ so you could have a taste of everything they offer. If you want to try something other than the usual barbecue, Lee Hak also offers other dishes like japchae, ramyeon, beef stew, and more!

Address: 8006 Pioneer Street corner United Street, Kapitolyo, Pasig City

With two branches in Leon Guinto in Manila and another one in Banawe, it’s no doubt that Samgyupsalamat has already made names in the KBBQ scene. Just like any other bbq place, you could always order their marinated and unmarinated meat per plate (minimum of two orders). Avail of their unlimited bbq promo during lunch or dinner, and you will also be treated with unlimited refills of rice, soup, vegetables, and banchan (Korean side dishes). Pair it with an ala carte dish – pork pa-jeon (pork pancake), japchae, or ramyeon – and you’re sure to leave with a full stomach and a satisfied craving.

Address: 11 Kapitan Tikong corner Leon Guinto Street, Malate, Manila // Leon Guinto Corner Estrada Street, Malate, Manila (beside 7-Eleven) // 2/F, BLC Building, Banawe corner Don Manuel Agregado Street, Banawe, Quezon City

They may not have an unlimited bbq promo like the ones mentioned above, but they do have set menu where you get three kinds of meat and vegetables that you get to cook on a stone grill. They also give generous and unlimited servings of banchan to enjoy with their meat. Anthony Bourdain was one of the famous personalities who tried out Café Chosun during his visit here in the country, and this is what he has to say about the place: “Good service, good food!”
