Mighty Quinn’s is a highly-loved barbeque which first set up shop in the East Village and it is helmed by pitmaster Chef Hugh Mangum. Mangum is currently in Manila to celebrate the opening week at the first Philippine outlet, located at the third level of Mega Fashion Hall, SM Megamall. The Mighty Quinn’s Philippines team has been setting up a series of food previews and private tastings prior to its public store opening today, December 13, 2016.

Hugh Mangum has been hailed as “Barbeque King of New York”, and sticks to the barbeque experience he has long been passionate about from New York to Manila: slow-smoked, served quickly. Mangum also shares their joy upon learning that the New York Times scored Mighty Quinn’s as the highest-rated barbeque in New York, which is a rare feat for fast-casual restaurants. Their restaurant was also named as Most Prized Performer and made it to the Top 10 Best Restaurants 2013.

Now Manila foodies can have big, big bites of flavorful meat, the Mighty Quinn's way, when they open their doors to the public. Expect the best quality ingredients, prepared and cooked the old-school way, smoked and flavored just right. Here's a peek at some of their good and meaty eats to rev up your appetite!

Naturally Raised Meats:

A proper introduction to Mighty Quinn's is their Brisket (P485/Single Serving, P1,295/by the pound)
Eat with your hands and unleash your inner caveman with their Spare Ribs (P485/Single Serving or 4 ribs, P1,295/by the pound or 12 ribs)
For the hungriest carnivores, the massive and deep-flavored Brontosaurus Rib (P1,450) is for you, good for sharing (3-4 people)
The spicy Chicken Wings (P405/6 Pieces, P685/10 Pieces) makes for a lip-smacking appetizer

Also available: Burnt Ends (P495/single serving, P1,295/by the pound), Pulled Pork (P485/single serving, P1,290/by the pound), Sausage (P435/single serving, P1,160/by the pound), Half Chicken (P485), and Crispy Spicy Chicken Sandwich.

Your beef and pork orders (except the Brontosaurus Rib and Spare Ribs) can come with either a bun/sandwich or dirty rice

Other sides available: Slaw and Burnt End Baked Beans. They also offer Fries (P165) and Dirty Fries (P375) topped with Burnt Ends, and don't skip on their pickles! Pickled add-ons include cucumber, spicy red onions, chiles, and celery.
