Manila can now say "Aloha!" to an authentic Hawaiian taste with the popular Honolulu restaurant chain L&L Hawaiian Barbecue opening two branches in the Philippines: the first in Shangri-La Plaza Mall last September and the second, located at SM North EDSA, which opened this October.

L&L made popular the 'plate lunch' concept in Hawaii: a savory entrée that comes with two servings of rice and one serving of macaroni salad. The brand has evolved from its beginnings as a drive-inn Honolulu restaurant to what is now a franchise with more than 200 outlets in the US, and expanding overseas to Asian countries like Malaysia, Indonesia, Japan, and the Philippines.
Chicken Plates include BBQ Chicken (P188) and L&L Hawaiian Barbecue's best seller Chicken Katsu (P195), while Beef Plates offered are Loco Moco (P235/Regular, P145/Mini), Hamburger Steak (P208), and Teriyaki Beef (P230). Pork Plates available are Smoked Kalua Pork (P220) and BBQ Pork Chops (P220), and for those seeking seafood, Seafood Plates to choose from are Fried Shrimp (P280), Garlic Shrimp (P280), and Fried/Garlic Fish (P220).
If you want to mix and match your proteins, Combination Plates are also available, like the Seafood Combo (P285) and BBQ Mix (P200); and since Hawaiians love Spam as much as (or maybe even more than) we do, there's Spam Musubi (P65) for your sushi-style consumption of the canned meat favorite.
