Fresh, fun, and modern takes on local cuisine is what's up at ¿Que Pasa? 'Street Forward Barbecue' located at Barlin Street, Naga City. Check this new restaurant out for their 'street-forward' fare and customizable food and drink when you're Bicol bound.
From the Buenaflors of popular fast-casual Bicol food joint Bigg's Diner comes Que Pasa, a colorful and art-filled BBQ specialty restaurant that allows you to customize your barbecue experience with their "Toro Toro" dining concept.
If you're familiar with turo-turo joints, then this is how the food goes at Que Pasa -- choose your meat -- Pork (P68), Chicken (P88), Tuna (P58), Ribs(P198/half, P398/whole) -- then choose your sauce among four original concoctions. Afterward, you choose your sides, which include laing, pinangat, mac n cheese, or mashed potatoes. You can also choose your rice -- there's laing rice and pimenton garlic rice.
'No-frills and no-bull' and just real good barbecues is the promise of Que Pasa, and bbq is served on your tray without a plate, your food laid out on the tray's special paper lining.
They will also offer Naldo's Caldo, a customizable Arroz Caldo which you can garnish to your heart's content, and for drinks, their Encanto Bar serves cerveza beer and assorted cocktails to complement your meal. For dessert, they offer Quesada Pasiega, which is a Spanish Catabrian Cheesecake, and a chilled Tres Leches cake. To go with the Spanish-Mexican vibe of the establishment, hand crafted "Que Daba" Muñequeta (P250) is sold -- a "little doll" inside a jar which will remind one of the charm of Mexican holiday Dia De Los Muertos.
