About the Event

There are experiences that we would like to always remember. Experiences that taught us something. Experiences that nearly broke us. The memories that we collect during our life can be turned into a memoir. Writing your memoir can be a therapeutic endeavor, as it helps you reflect on your life and perhaps look at it with a new perspective.

Memoir Writing Workshop

Join the upcoming “Memoir Writing Workshop” and discover how to write your own personal memoir by highlighting your own experiences and insights. It is this combination of life events and those little nuggets of realizations that make a story—even one that’s been told a thousand times resonate with others.

Expect to a series of short lectures and writing activity in this half-day event. No professional writing experience require; a sincere interest on memoir writing would do. Participants should at least be 18 years old. The workshop is organized by Ana P. Santos and Nikka Sarthou-Lainez, the founders of Writer’s Block Philippines, an organization established by freelance writers and creative entrepreneurs.

“Memoir Writing” will be on February 15, 2020 at The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, Rada St., Makati City. The fee is a P1,200 per person, which includes the course fee, light snacks, and a certificate of participation. Slots are limited. Email writersblock.ph@gmail.com or check out Writer’s Block Philippines on Facebook for details.
