About the Event
Every year, the Faculty of Pharmacy holds their very own Freshman Acquaintance Party wherein the faculty prepares activities and events for the freshmen of the current academic year. This year, the event is entitled JUMPSTART: The Faculty of Pharmacy Freshmen Acquaintance Party. In this project prepared by the Faculty of Pharmacy Student Council, the freshmen may participate and get their chance to showcase their skills and talents. Last year, the faculty had freshmen perform song and dance numbers coupled with a few other popular OPM bands. It was a circus themed event where the freshmen had chosen representatives to participate in a pageant/fashion show. Each block collaborated in the making of costumes and props for their representatives in the hopes of them claiming the title of “Freshest Face”.
The Freshman Acquaintance Party this year will be held on October 25, 2019 at the SM North EDSA Sky Dome from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Featuring performances from Purples N’ Oranges and the faculty’s very own students/bands and dance troupes, the acquaintance party will be jam-packed with performances and activities for the students following a retro/disco theme. Complete with food booths/concessionaires and other games for the program, the freshmen will be introduced to everything the Faculty of Pharmacy has to offer and what the students can look forward to for the rest of the school year.
The event hopes to further strengthen the relationship and camaraderie of the freshmen by showing them the culture and unity of the faculty. Moreover, it hopes to give them a glimpse of the fun activities hosted by the faculty and everything else in store for them. With each performance, game, and activity, it will be a night of entertainment and culture for the freshmen to remember and cherish for the rest of their years in the University.
