Beautiful: The Carole King Musical
June 14 to July 7 (Meralco Theater)

Atlantis Theatrical Entertainment Group is proud to be staging Broadway’s award-winning hit, Beautiful: The Carole King Musical.

With a book by Douglas McGrath, BEAUTIFUL: THE CAROLE KING MUSICAL has been thrilling theatregoers with the inspiring true story of one woman’s remarkable journey from teenage songwriter to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. From the string of pop classics she wrote for the biggest acts in music, to her own life-changing, chart-busting success with Tapestry, BEAUTIFUL takes you back to where it all began – and takes you on the ride of a lifetime. Featuring unforgettable classics like “You’ve Got a Friend”, “One Fine Day”, “So Far Away”, “Take Good Care of My Baby”, “Up on the Roof”, “You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feeling”, “Will You Love Me Tomorrow”, and “Natural Woman”, this Tony, Olivier and Grammy Award-winning musical phenomenon is filled with the songs you remember – and a story you’ll never forget. BEAUTIFUL continues to run on Broadway and on US National Tour.

BEAUTIFUL: THE CAROLE KING MUSICAL is directed by Bobby Garcia in celebration of Atlantis Theatrical’s 20th anniversary season. It will run at the Meralco Theater, Pasig City from June 14 to July 7, 2019. For tickets, visit www.ticketworld.com.ph or call 891-9999.

Ang Pagsalubong Sa Apatnapu
June 15 and 16; 22 and 23; 29 and 30 (Tahanan ni Juan, Marikina)

Kicking off its 12th Theatre Season HABI, Teatro ni Juan’s highly commended original musical Ang Pagsalubong Sa Apatnapu returns this June on a limited run.

Coming off as “a musical that breaks free from the limits of its space”, Apatnapu rerun features new cast members and a reworked second act. The musical is a tribute to Marikina’s remarkable contribution to the Philippines’ historical narrative — the arrival of Jewish refugees (Manilaners) in the valley and their intercultural nexus with the Marikeños. Together, they are forced to contend with the Japanese Imperial Army.

Featuring the Teatro ni Juan ensemble, Ang Pagsalubong sa Apatnapu is a musical that is worth telling the generations to come. Here is your chance to witness, as what critics laud, “sheer energy and exhilarating raw sweaty dedication of a true community theatre.”

ANG PAGSALUBONG SA APATNAPU runs on June 15-16, 22-23, 29-30, July 6-7, and July 13-14 (Saturdays & Sundays, 7pm) at Tahanan ni Juan, 43-A C. Cruz St., Sta. Elena, Marikina City. Tickets are available at PHP150php. Seats are limited.

For tickets and inquiries, you may contact Je Vincent Trinidad (+63915 495 4438) or Paola Neyra (+63956-132-0995) or email contact.teatronijuan@gmail.com.
