The 80s were characterized by big shoulder pads, big hair, bold colors and bold fashion trends, larger than life performers and literally and figuratively loud performances.The music was even bigger and bolder – amplified by the use of synthesizers, drum machines, reverb and, electric guitars creating music styles and a distinctive beat that practically screamed, “Let’s groove tonight,” and audiences couldn’t help but get up and do exactly that – MOVE and GROOVE to the beat!
This is the decade that Solaire Resort & Casino brings you into on May 18 with INTO THE 80s – a retro concert where Philippine 80s music icons Gino Padilla, Jam Morales, Jett Pangan, Lou Bonnevie and Raymond Lauchengco set the rhythm of the night and recreate the beat through the memorable music of 80s international stars and their very own OPM hits!
From Kenny Loggins, Prince to The Police, Sheena Easton to Spandau Ballet, Blondie to Kim Carnes, Bangles to Irene Cara, Whitney Houston to Wham, Billy Joel to Rick Astley, Kool and the Gang to Queen, every single song is guaranteed to make you sigh, swoon, sing along, sway, swing, and, finally, to get on your feet and groove.
It is that get-up-and-go vibe that INTO THE 80s is out to recreate on May 18 – a concert that is big, bold, loud and fun!
So get in the groove and step to the beat with Gino, Jam, Jet, Lou and Raymond with Session Band, Filipinas, and a whole slew of dancers – because you can’t do the 80s without dancing!
