About the Event
Spartan Race, the world’s largest obstacle race, is finally coming to Manila and it’s kicking off on September 16, 2017! Inaugurating with the Spartan Sprint, the 5-kilometer entry-level race is set to feature more than 20 obstacles which will be testing the racers’ endurance.
The race will be opening three categories with different goals: athletes for the Elite category will be competing to be one of the top 3 Male and Female racers for the prize money; the Competitive category is where the top racers for every age bracket competes for the sponsor prizes; and the Open Category is for “all shapes and sizes” whose goal is to overcome the obstacles and cross the finish line.
Registration is set to begin this June, although the pricing and the venue are yet to be announced on the official Spartan Race Philippines website and social media platforms.
With more than 200 events in 30 countries and more than 1 million participants just for this year, Spartan Race is said to be the world’s largest obstacle race. The race features races at three distances: 5+ KM/20+ Obstacle “Sprint,” 13+ KM/25+ Obstacle “Super,” and 20+KM/30+ Obstacle “Beast.”
