About the Event

Hundreds of Filipino youth and representatives from different sectors will gather at the second SDG Bayanihan Summit (SBS), dubbed as the biggest “bayanihan” for the Global Goals of the 2030 Youth Force in the Philippines Inc. (YFPH), on October 26, 2019, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, at Far Eastern University (FEU) Institute of Technology, P. Paredes St., Sampaloc, Manila.

With the theme, “Sulong: Juan in Motion”, the delegates and partners will collaborate on solutions that may address some of the pressing problems in the Philippines. There will be four (4) breakout sessions, dubbed as “Bayanihan Sessions”, on the following key issues:

• “Fake News” and Disinformation;
• Sustainable and Responsible Consumerism;
• Livable and Human-Centered Cities; and
• Language and Culture as Tools in Shaping Filipino Consciousness

The main output of the summit will be four (4) projects, dubbed as “Bayanihan Initiatives”, chosen from the ideas pitched by the delegates at the end of the sessions. The Panel, composed of experts from different sectors, shall select and pledge support for these Bayanihan Initiatives to ensure fruition.

Delegates will also gain more insights from the Plenary Session, which will feature notable leaders from various fields; and explore other opportunities and network with different organizations at the SDG Expo: Global Goals Fair in the morning.

As an annual culmination, the summit will conclude with the Oath Taking and Turnover Ceremony of the national leadership of YFPH.
