Are you ready to face the challenge of the 21st Century?
Calling all high school students and teachers! This is your chance to make your innovation idea a reality at the Youth Innovation Challenge 2019!
YIC 2019 aims to empower the youth to contribute to national development through creating innovative solutions to shared problems they face. The summit aims to engage grade 6-12 students to work collaboratively with students from other schools through a design-thinking workshop to create solutions in the form of an innovation concept for an application, product, digital platform, campaign, or social enterprise, which they may deem as a solution to relevant problems the youth face in the host country they are in. Each workshop group will have a mix of students from private, international and public schools in the region.
YIC 2019 will give students the opportunity to:
- Hone 21st Century skills through collaborative problem-solving
- Gain exposure to design thinking as a tool for capacity-building and national development.
- Learn from various experts who have made a difference in the Philippine innovation and startup landscape
- Get to know and understand how the government can support youth innovators
- Turn their ideas into real solutions that are beneficial to relevant government and civic agencies as the selected outputs from the YIC 2019 will be published and given to the relevant agencies to operationalize with the hopes of creating a better future that has engaged the next generation as responsible stewards.
